This month, we celebrate the contributions of people with developmental disabilities and recognize the importance of inclusion in all aspects of life—education, employment, recreation, and civic engagement.

2025 Theme: “We’re Here All Year!”

This year’s theme emphasizes that accessibility, community, and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities should be championed every day—not just in March.

A Look Back

National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month was first recognized in 1987, marking a significant step forward in advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, intellectual disabilities, and spina bifida. Join us in celebrating and advocating for a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive!
